When You Need a Shipping Carton Instead of a Mailer
A printed mailer is made for one buyer opening one gift. A shipping carton is made for a stockroom, a delivery truck and a shop owner unpacking forty bombs at once.
You need this kind of box when orders go out in volume. That includes wholesale cases, refill stock for your own market stall and large direct orders for events.
For single orders and gift sets sent to shoppers, our gift-ready bath bomb mailers are the better fit.
The shipping carton also protects your margin. A broken case means replacing stock at your cost, plus a second delivery.
- Makers supplying gift shops, salons and boutiques
- Brands shipping stock to a fulfillment partner
- Event and wedding orders of dozens of favors
- Bulk orders from spas and hotels for guest rooms
How Weight Builds Up in a Case
One bath bomb is light, but a case of twenty-four is not. The bottom layer carries the weight of every layer above it.
Unsupported bombs at the bottom crack or flatten. A divider grid spreads that weight into the carton walls instead of the bombs.
B-flute corrugated handles full cases better than thinner board. Our article comparing corrugated flutes and paperboard explains why thickness matters under load.
Two layers of bombs are usually the practical limit for loose stock. Beyond that, the bottom row takes too much load even with a grid.
Packing Loose Bombs or Boxed Sets
There are two ways to fill a wholesale case. You can pack wrapped bombs loose in a divider grid, or you can pack bombs already in their retail boxes.
Loose bombs need a cell for each one and a pad between layers. Boxed sets need a snug carton so the retail boxes do not slide and dent their corners.
Do not mix loose bombs and boxed sets in one case. The hard corners of a box can chip a loose bomb sitting beside it.
| Case contents | Inside the carton | Watch out for |
|---|---|---|
| Wrapped loose bombs | Divider grid with one cell each | Layer pad between rows |
| Boxed singles | Snug rows, no grid needed | Gaps that let boxes slide |
| Boxed gift sets | Stacked flat, one size per case | Heavy sets on top of light ones |
| Mixed shapes | Larger cells or a second layer pad | Shapes with points that chip |
Humidity, Heat and Long Journeys
Bath bombs react to moisture, and a carton in a hot truck or a damp warehouse can fizz the surface of unwrapped stock. Wrap every bomb before it goes in a case.
Corrugated board is not a moisture barrier, but a snug case with layer pads limits air movement around the stock. Keep packed cases off concrete floors while they wait for pickup.
In humid months, plan dispatch so cases spend as little time in transit as possible. Early week shipping avoids weekends in a depot.
Cool, dry storage at your end matters just as much. Cases packed in a warm, steamy workshop carry that moisture with them.
Labeling Cases for Stockists
Shop owners want to know what is inside without opening every carton. A printed panel for scent, count and batch saves them time on delivery day.
We print the panel in the same place on every case. Your team fills it in by hand or with a sticker label as each case is packed.
A clear panel also helps your own team. Restocking a market stall from labeled cases is faster than opening each one to check.
- Choose one side of the carton for the contents panel.
- Decide which details it holds, such as scent, count and batch.
- Keep the shipping label area on the top or a different side.
- Add a this side up arrow if loose bombs are inside.
- Approve the panel position on your proof.
Branded Cases That Look Good on a Shop Floor
Some stockists display bath bombs straight from the case. A clean logo on kraft board makes that look intentional instead of improvised.
If you want cases that open into a display, a roll end tuck front can be used with the lid folded back. Our display mailer boxes for countertops go further with tear-away fronts.
Reorder details on the inside lid are worth the small extra cost. A stockist who runs low can find your contact without searching old emails.
- One color logo on kraft for a clean, low-cost look
- Full color print on white for brands that sell from the case
- Printed inside lid with reorder details for the stockist
- Handling marks on the side panels
Packing a Case Step by Step
A consistent routine keeps every case the same weight and layout. Stockists notice when one case arrives tidy and the next is a jumble.
Weigh the first finished case and write the figure on your packing chart. Any case that comes in lighter is probably missing stock.
- Fold the carton and tape or tuck the base
- Drop in the bottom layer pad
- Set the divider grid and fill each cell
- Add a pad, then the next layer if there is one
- Fill in the contents panel and close the lid
Direct Bulk Orders for Events
Wedding favors, corporate gifts and spa orders often arrive as a single large order. These ship to one address, so the case only has to protect, not display.
Ask your customer how they plan to hand the bombs out. If they will lift them from the case on the day, a tear strip opening makes setup quick and tidy.
Bulk favors often need a small printed card per bomb. That card can ride in the cell beside each wrapped bomb without extra packaging.

Ordering Your Bath Bomb Cartons
Send your case counts, bomb or retail box sizes and your logo. Our team returns a free digital proof for each case size, with the divider layout and label panel marked.
Change anything you like before approving. Cases are produced in 4 to 6 business days and arrive free in the US, UK, Canada or Australia about 2 to 3 business days later.
To begin, fill in the wholesale carton quote form with your sizes.
Order cases a little ahead of a busy wholesale season. Having flat stock on hand stops a last-minute switch to whatever box is nearby.
Case Pricing and Reprints
Bath bomb shipping boxes are quoted from $0.30 per unit for small cartons. Full B-flute cases with divider grids use more board and cost more.
Print coverage and quantity also change the figure. A kraft case with a one color logo is the most economical way to ship wholesale stock.
Report misprinted or damaged cartons within 10 days for a reprint or refund under our packaging return policy.
